ruta.pumputiene@lawg.ltRūta Pumputienė is an attorney at law with over 12 years’ legal experience, specializing within the life sciences sector and other regulated industries (food, tobacco, alcohol, gambling) as well as in the area of intellectual property law. She has been recognized as one of Lithuania’s top life sciences legal experts by ‘Who’s Who Legal’ and ‘Best Lawyers’.
She is the founder and managing partner of Rūta Pumputienė Law Firm and the head of the Local American Working Group (LAWG), a standing committee established by the American Chamber of Commerce in Lithuania to tackle issues concerned within the healthcare system and the pharmaceutical industry in Lithuania.
Rūta graduated from the Faculty of Law at Vilnius University in 2004. In 2010 she obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in International Intellectual Property Law at the University of London. She has authored and co-authored legal overview chapters in numerous local and international publications, as well as analytical articles relating to life sciences regulation in the Baltics as well as other pharmaceutical pricing and reimbursing issues. Rūta is a frequent speaker at numerous pharmaceutical regulatory and intellectual property law conferences and events in Lithuania.
